Our Story

Building what's never been built.

Mefferdi was founded by veterans of large-scale robotics and AI infrastructure. We bring lessons from operating thousands of autonomous machines in production environments to one of the most challenging domains there is: the ocean.

The ocean covers 71% of the Earth's surface and remains the least understood, least monitored, and least automated environment in human operations. We build systems designed for the realities of marine work — not laboratory conditions.

Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida. Working with select defense, research, and industrial partners worldwide.

Why Mefferdi

What sets us apart.

01

Built for production, not demos.

Every platform is designed for sustained operational use. We optimize for the realities of marine environments — pressure, current, biofouling, communications loss — not idealized lab conditions.

02

Software and hardware, vertically integrated.

We build both the vehicles and the intelligence layer that runs them. One company, one team, one stack — designed together from the start.

03

Mission-modular.

The same platform serves multiple mission profiles through modular configuration. Lower total cost of ownership. Faster transition between operations.

04

Partner-first development.

We work closely with a small number of qualified partners across defense, research, and industrial markets. Their feedback drives our roadmap.

Sustainability

A smarter ocean.
A greener planet.

The ocean is our operating environment. We design systems to study, protect, and operate within it responsibly — minimizing acoustic and physical footprint, reducing the carbon cost of marine operations, and contributing to the scientific understanding of the systems we depend on.

Mefferdi platforms enable scientific work that would otherwise require crewed vessels operating for weeks — reducing fuel consumption, crew risk, and time-to-insight.
